Incontinence by James Lugg, M.D.

Q: Can bladder control problems be cured?

A: Yes. Bladder control problems prevent people from controlling when and how much they urinate.

There are several types of bladder control problems that can make simple, everyday activities a challenge and social lives very difficult.

Different types are: urge incontinence, urgency frequency, and retention.

Symptoms of these conditions include: leaking urine when you can’t get to the bathroom quickly enough; having frequent, uncontrollable urges to urinate; getting up often during the night to empty your bladder; or having no sensation of when your bladder is full.

If you or someone you care about has any of these bladder control problems, effective
treatment is available.

Contact your physician to determine which course of treatment is right for you.

James A. Lugg, M.D., is board certified in urology.

Dr. Lugg is in private practice and is one of many physicians living and practicing medicine full-time in Cheyenne.
