If you can’t afford your prescription medications, we may be able to help.

The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Prescription Assistance Program was developed to assist low-income area residents in obtaining medications for chronic health problems through national pharmaceutical companies.

Referrals may be made to other local community resources.

Eligibility is based on the current program guidelines, which are pulled from pharmaceutical company patient assistance guidelines. The screening process requires clients to provide proof of income and assets.

By helping people afford their medication, we encourage healthier lifestyles and promote wellness for our patients.

Who is eligible?
  • Cheyenne Regional Medical Center patients
  • Individuals who have a physician and a valid prescription
  • Those with low income and who do not have prescription coverage

How do I apply for help?

Call us! Referrals can also be made by physician’s office staff. You may also call us directly at (307) 633-7991. This is not our direct number, but we do want patients to call the our hotline at 633-7991 to leave their name, number and address so we can send them an application.

Please note, this is not a walk-in facility.

Enrollment in the Rx Assistance Program is easy. Just call us to get an application.

Telephone interview: A telephone interview will determine if you qualify for assistance.

Application: If you appear to meet eligibility requirements, we will mail you an application.

Once you send your application, the Rx Assistance Program will work with you and your doctor.

Pharmaceutical assistance programs require that application forms be completed by the patient, staff and physician. We will submit these forms as quickly as possible.

It can take several weeks to receive medications. They are usually sent directly to the physician’s office, or a discount card may be provided.

These programs require a new application every three months for continued eligibility. Often, proof of income is attached, and verification of need must be explained.
