Our State-of-the-Art Facility:
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's Cancer Center provides our patients with the most advanced, state-of-the-art equipment to ensure a precise, safe and effective treatment:
  • CT Scanner Simulator - The CT Scanner offers a comprehensive and detailed view of 16 slices in three dimensions to precisely determine the size and location of the tumor.
  • Ximatron Simulator - The Ximatron Simulator offers patients who don't require CT simulation with conventional simulation capabilities to determine the size and location of the tumor.
  • XiO Treatment Planning System - This system is used to determine the best treatment parameters to ensure an effective treatment.
  • Impac Record and Verify System -Ensures accurate treatment delivery by allowing treatment to the patient only after all parameters are precisely met.
  • Linear Accelerator -Capabilities include high energy photons and electrons to treat superficial and deep seeded tumors. By using multiple energies, we can treat a greater diversity of tumors in a greater diversity of places.
  • Multileaf Collimator - only one of four in Wyoming. Ensures precise treatment of the actual tumor by shaping beams to treat the tumor while sparing the healthy tissue surrounding the tumor. Patients benefit with reductions in side effects and shorter treatment time.
