Seminars will be held at CRMC-West Auditoriums A&B, located at 214 E. 23rd Street in Cheyenne, to educate community members about the overall structure, administration, eligibility, benefits and enrollment process, as well as the impact and challenges of Medicare Part D. Seminars will be held on the following dates:
Friday, November 11, 9-11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 3-5 p.m. Vikki Moxely, CRMC Billing Supervisor and Wyoming Senior Health Insurance Program Volunteer, will speak at each seminar about the program and its guidelines. “With this new program for Medicare, we realized a lot of questions would be asked,” said Moxely. “We’re offering these seminars to help community members get the right answers to their questions, as well as provide them with the best regional care possible.” Effective January 1, 2006, Medicare will undergo significant changes with the introduction of the new Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage Program. This new federal benefit is aimed at discounting prescription costs, and providing relief to enrollees from high prescription drug bills. Enrollment in the program is voluntary and the program offers different types of coverage plans. Selecting a plan will be based on individual income and preference on varying monthly premiums.
