CRMC Names New CEO
Charles F. Harms, CEO of McKee Medical Center, Loveland, Colorado, has been named as the next Chief Executive Officer for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Harms is succeeding Jon M.
Gates, who has served as CEO of the 198-bed Regional Medical Center since
1986 and is retiring in January. During his 16-year tenure as CEO of McKee Medical Center, the hospital dramatically increased its services and programs, including the addition of a state-of-the-art cancer center, and a conference and wellness center. The hospital also expanded its surgical and cardiovascular services under his leadership. A graduate of Tarkio College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Harms did graduate work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Business Administration and completed an independent study program in hospital and healthcare administration in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota in 1984. He is a member of the American College Healthcare Executives and has served on the Larimer County Economic Development Committee, United Way of Larimer County, Long's Peak Boy Scout Council, and numerous other charitable organizations. Harms has also provided leadership to the development of the Loveland Community Health Center and the community's prescription assistance program. "Charlie Harms brings more than thirty years of healthcare experience and leadership to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center," said Ernie Shriner, president, CRMC Board of Trustees. "We anticipate a smooth transition which will allow CRMC to continue to grow and, most importantly, to keep the care of our patients as the hospital's top priority and focus of our efforts." |
